Rolling in...
Meet & Greet

Registration / Check-In:  Sorry, no admittance to the fairgrounds before 12:00 - we will be setting up and preparing to welcome & park everybody all afternoon.


Early arrival staging will be held off-site at the Salida Walmart - a perfect place to stock up your trailer before settling in at the rally. Additional parking & staging information will be provided to attendees in the pre-rally email information packet.

Chili Dump Supper - This explosive opening event has become a Rocky Mountain Rally tradition. Everyone dumps their favorite chili recipe into the community cauldron then we stir and serve the results. Bring a "chili-bowl portion" for each member of your family and we'll heat it all up together for a real treat.  This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another & reacquaint ourselves with old friends...gets things tootin'. Bring your own set-up (plates, napkins & utensils).

Rally Jammin' join in with your fellow RMVAC rally talent.  Bring your instrument of choice (guitar, ukelele, banjo, bongos, jews harp, kazoo or just your tapping toe and enjoy the Airstreamer jam session in the center of the wagon wheel.

Cape Town to Cairo Caravan - if jammin' isn't your thing...settle in for a showing of the newly mastered Cape Town to Cairo film as presented by the Airstream Heritage Foundation.

at the Rockin' Wally-B Saloon.  Join us for a hearty breakfast to get the day started.  Bring your own set-up (plates, napkins & utensils).

"You Drive the Conversation..."
- This time is set aside for informal restoration related discussions and "Q &A with Luke the Maintenance Guy" and for those you who have "been there, done that" to share with those who are "newbies" to the restoration experience. The topics of discussion will be determined by those in attendance.  Topics of past rallies have included: Ferrying & Retrevial, Running Gear, Floor & Frame Repair, Electrifying Electrical, Plumbing - It All Flows Down Hill, Riveting & Sheet Metal 101, Wax On -Wax Off...this is for those of you who just can't get enough Resto-talk.

Free time! 
Things to Do in the area include taking a soak in the hot springs, biking, golfing, hiking, climbing a 14-er, jeeping, frolicking in the Arkansas River, strolling around the small towns, fishing, kite flying, touring...and of course, hanging out with 140+ of your best Airstream friends!

- Vintage Trailer Open House for the public & guests - let them see how we 'live in our trailers, so put on your best face and arrange the table pretty. This is a voluntary event but lots of fun...it's our way of sharing ourselves with the community.

Swap Meet & Flea Market 
- Lay out on your horse trading blanket all that surplus vintage trailer and camping gear you've been meaning to get rid of for cash, or swap it for other people's surplus trailer and camping gear that they want to get rid of.

Group Event"  - Picnic (Check your Rally Bag for additional information) & scenic drive to St. Elmo Ghost Town...road is narrow - no trailers allowed.

On the Road again!

"Parting is such sweet sorrow" - Please plan on vacating the rally site by six...the County Fair is coming to town! Sorry, there is no opportunity
to stay later...



* The Planning Committee is still working on some of the details for rally activities...
so all this is subject to change a bit ~ but stay tuned, updates will be posted as they come in.
It's a real aluminum effort by some real shiny souls!

Don't worry about printing out this schedule - you will get the latest & greatest copy
(along with additional details!) in your rally bag upon check-in.

Dogs on leash are welcome at the rally, however not in the tent or buildings
and must be cleaned up after by their owners.

Kids are welcome, but there are no specific kid-activities planned at this time...
