Sixty-Six Airstream trailers representing twelve states, arranged in Wally style circles,

dry camped at the fairgrounds in Gunnison, Colorado for an encore gathering
at the Rockin’ Wally B Ranch for our twelfth RMVAC Rally.

The Rocky Mountain rally is known for trailer restoration and maintenance talks,
a chili dump dinner, open house, Donnarita beverages, swap meet, happy hour gatherings
under the big tent, plus time in the schedule to gather around the trailers swapping stories or
to explore the area.

This year we asked people to share micro-beers from their local communitees for a little beer-tasting and also share their talents with a Plein Air painting sessions accompanied by some very original (and entertaining!) Airstream Haiku Poetry and lots of Ukeleles.

The evenings at the Rockin’ Wally B Ranch were teaming with Airstreamers dressed in their finest cowboy outfits and prettiest cowgirl dresses including some pretty fancy boots!
Besides the western attire, rally attendees were asked to participate in the "Battle of the Bands"...hatbands that is!  Lots of creative folks threw their hats in the ring for this one!

We were also treated to an Italian catered dinner followed by a "Travels with Wally" presentation by Carlos Leach who shared old movies from his grandparent's 1953 Mexico Caravan with Wally and
"My Vintage Airstream Experience" by Sheridan Prince  sharing the trials, tribulations and ultimate success with the restoration of his 1965 Caravel

Not to be outdone by the Texan contigent...who brought all the fixin's for a roasted pig dinner!  The smoke and smells drew everybody out of their trailers for the "Potluck"...yum!

Then finally, keeping with the Spaghetti Western theme we settled in for some late night popcorn and watched "The Cowboys" with John Wayne.

Every picture tells a story...
